I am Eva Beruna Zítková; I have been Beruna since birth, that is, Beruška. As I grew up, Berča started to come out of me, and then a big Beruna :-), and that has stuck with me to this day. Since I was little, I have enjoyed painting, but unfortunately, I never fully devoted myself to artistic activities; sometimes more, sometimes less.
In my youth, I attended the Folk School of Art in Ústí nad Labem with the academic painter Pavel Berger. Later, I occasionally decorated interiors with paintings on commission; that was in the 1990s. Then, at the beginning of the new millennium, I opened a shop with English and otherwise unique fashion called Black Market, already distinctive in its character. I had my first art exhibition at the then very popular Doma club in Ústí nad Labem. In 2004, I traveled to New Zealand. Upon returning, I settled in Prague, where I completed distance studies in the fashion industry, as I have always been drawn to design, fashion, and artistic and creative work. I arranged shop windows, and for a while, entire stores as a visual merchandiser, and I led illustration courses in an educational institut Serafin in Prague, tried sewing designer bags, unfortunately still not fully, probably the timing wasn’t right, finances, I guess I completely gave up at that moment. I stopped creating and stopped believing... I held my first art exhibition in the then very popular Doma club in Ústí nad Labem. In 2004, I traveled to New Zealand, and after returning, I settled in Prague, where I completed a distance-learning program in the garment industry, as I have always been drawn to design, fashion, and artistic and creative activities. I arranged shop windows and even entire stores as a visual merchandiser for a while, taught illustration courses at the Serafin educational institute in Prague, tried sewing designer bags—unfortunately not fully at that time—probably due to the timing or finances, and I think I gave up completely then. I stopped creating and stopped believing...

  And so I set off for a few years on a completely different path, to have what is called a 'stable job,' crazy as it sounds, I went to study for five years at the Police Academy in Prague, where I earned a master's and a bachelor's degree. I was convinced that I wanted to work in this field, and I even reached the rank of commissioner-lieutenant in the criminal police, but during my studies I had an accident and in the end, I had to reconsider everything. I guess it was meant to be, so that I could, through this crazy path, return to artistic activities and be able to develop what was naturally given to me...))

  In 2024, I completed a retraining course in graphics and started creating again, and most importantly, building my own brand, Eva Beruna Zítková, which is now a registered copyright brand. I know I will never stop creating; in fact, over the years I have accumulated many ideas in my head, and more keep coming—everything just wants to come out into the world. I produce everything myself, from manual and digital drawing, photo editing, product work for the e-shop, setup, working with graphic programs, creating websites and banners, to producing promotional materials... I also offer these services. I participated in the OPEN ART FEST 2024 and PRAGUE MEETING ART 2025 exhibitions. I am already looking forward to more ideas that I will gradually bring to life, and I hope my work will bring joy to you as well:- )Beruna
